visiting seoul?

I know I still owe the last few entries on my Seoul trip...since April. Hahahah.. I'm good at delaying stuffs like that :P Anyways, I've been receiving a few requests from friends and readers for places to go in Korea. So here I am, writing out the checklist! :D

taken in samcheongdong

1) BUKCHON HANOK VILLAGE
Subway line #3 to Anguk Stn, Exit #3
This place is a MUST visit if you love traditional heritage buildings. When my brother and I were looking for our guesthouse, we chanced upon this place by mistake. Haha.. I read on the internet that the filming location for "Personal Taste" (alert: Lee Min Ho!!!) was one of the houses there. It's a pity I couldn't get the chance to find the particular house :(

2) INSADONG/SSAMIJIL
Sorry, no directions provided but you can go goggle search. If I'm not wrong, it's near Anguk Stn too. But anyways, I don't think this place is worth a visit :/ Too overrated. Can skip unless you're too bored. LOL

3) EVERLAND
Directions here
The only theme park we visited. Was suppose to go LOTTE WORLD too but decided to give it a miss. Everland is located somewhere away from the city, thus the landscape is beautiful especially during Spring (I'm not sure of the other season. I believe Winter would be a nice season to visit too). One full day is needed if you're planning to take most of the rides.

4) HONGIK UNIVERSITY
There's a flea market there every Saturday (except for Winter).

5) HONGDAE
Visit in the day for pretty cafes and night for clubbing! ;)

6) EWHA WOMENS UNIVERSITY
CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP SHOPPING THRILLS! :D The shops outside the university area are selling stuffs mostly around 10,000 won (SGD$12?)

7) GANGNAM TERMINAL UNDERGROUND SHOPPING

8) SAMCHEONGDONG
Anguk Stn
Pretty place lined with restaurants :))

9) CHEONGDAMDONG
It's a stream/river near DONGDAEMUN Wholesale shopping area. I visited the stream at night and it was simply breath taking. But I don't advise to shop in DONGDAEMUN unless you really know how to bargain and good in Korean.

10) NAMI ISLAND
MUST VISIT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very very very beautiful island. Enough said :p

taken in korean historical drama set

11) KOREAN HISTORICAL DRAMA SET
Directions here
Another must visit! After I came back from Korea, I start to notice all those historical dramas' backgrounds are all the same (filmed at the same location I visited). Haha.. this drama set is so fun especially when there's no other visitors. But be careful of bees/hornets! :S Not sure if it's because of the Spring season.. but there were hell lotsss of them when I went there. (I'll be posting more pics of this place sooooooooooooooooon! Promise!)

Love, mwdee
